General Aspects
What is a transpersonal approach to therapy?
Transpersonal therapy considers the whole person—not just symptoms. Alongside emotional and psychological wellbeing, therapy may explore meaning, identity, values, and personal transformation, always grounded in ethical, evidence-based practice.
What can I expect in my first session?
Your first session is an opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and your history. We’ll talk through suitable therapy options, answer any questions, and proceed at a pace that feels safe and supportive.
How often will I need to attend sessions?
Session frequency varies depending on your needs, goals, and circumstances. Many clients begin with weekly or fortnightly sessions, which may change over time as therapy progresses. This will be discussed and reviewed collaboratively.
How long does therapy usually take?
The length of therapy varies depending on your goals, circumstances, and the complexity of the issues you wish to address. Some people attend short-term therapy, while others choose longer-term support.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. All sessions are confidential and follow Australian legal and professional standards, with limited exceptions related to safety.
How do I know if this service is right for me?
A brief courtesy call allows you to explore whether our approach aligns with your needs. You’re welcome to ask questions and take time to decide what feels like the right fit.

Fees, Payment & Funding
What are your fees and payment options?
Fees are payable at the time of booking your session. Payment options typically include EFTPOS, credit card, or e-wallet. Please contact us if you have questions about payment.
How do I know which funding option applies to me?
Funding pathways can vary depending on your circumstances. We’re happy to discuss your options and help clarify what may be available to you.
Do you accept Medicare referrals?
Yes. If you have a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates for a set number of sessions each calendar year. Rebates are processed after payment.
Do you accept WorkSafe or TAC clients?
Yes. We accept WorkSafe and TAC clients with approved claims and valid referral documentation. Please contact us prior to booking so we can confirm the required paperwork.
Do you offer NDIS-funded psychology services?
We provide services to NDIS participants who are self-managed, depending on availability and scope of practice. Please contact us to discuss your plan and therapy goals.
Groups
Do you offer group therapy or group sessions?
Yes, group sessions are offered on a regular basis, alternating with therapeutic modalities beyond the traditional talking one. Please contact us for current group offerings.
What is group therapy?
Group therapy involves working with a small group of participants who share similar goals or experiences. Sessions are facilitated by a qualified psychologist and provide a structured, supportive environment for learning, reflection, and connection.
What are the benefits of group therapy?
Group therapy can offer a sense of connection and shared understanding, reduce isolation, and provide opportunities to learn from others’ experiences. Many people find group work complements individual therapy and supports personal growth.
Is group therapy trauma-informed?
Yes. All group sessions are facilitated using trauma-informed principles. Safety, choice, and pacing are prioritised, and participants are never required to share personal details beyond their comfort level.
Do I have to share personal details in a group?
No. Sharing is always optional. Participants are encouraged to engage at a level that feels safe and appropriate for them.
How many people are in a group?
Groups are kept to a manageable size to ensure safety, support, and meaningful participation. Exact numbers vary by group type, but we keep them below 10.
